I am working on a database written in Access. The format is an ADP, not an Accdb. The DBs backend is SQL Server.
When I go to create a query there is NO Update or Delete or Append query options. Is Sql Server incapable to handle Append queries? If it can't do an append query, why is SQL Server so popular?
Or is it that an ADP file can't do anything but the most simple of queries.
I have a table in a regular Access db. I'd like to append it into SQL Server. It seems that I can't use the query builder. It appears I have to type the entire SQL query out by hand. That is insanity.
If you have any advice on using the query builder to create an append query using SQL Server tables, I'd certainly appreciate it.
