Others have posted their frustration at messages like these in Norton
Internet Security 2004:
Program Control
High Risk
A remote system is attempting to access your computer.
What would you like to do? Block (recommended).

Look familiar?  I get them every five minutes.

I've struggled with this for weeks.  After contacting customer
support, I got this response:

Please be informed that if you are receiving remote access request
alerts from different ip addresses each time then Norton Internet
Security (NIS) will continue to alert you each time an alert is made.
Also, please be informed that since NIS is able to detect these remote
requests and is alerting you NIS is working fine.

Alternately, I suggest that you please contact the Internet Service
Provider (ISP) to report an intrusion attempt by a computer it
controls.

Well, those fixes didn't satisfy me.  My ISP can't do anything about
sources outside their system, and who wants to compile dozens of
attacking IP addresses, making rules for them all?

So here's the fix:
Call the Symantec Store at 888-922-1905.  Ask for a refund.  Get
McAfee instead.

I knew there must be an easy fix for this!
